So, lately Quinn has been amazing Mike and I with the amount of verbal communication he understands. I keep reading everywhere to phrase down what you say to toddlers this age. For example, instead of, "Are you finished with your milk?" Say, "Milk all done?" Well, I have a hard time doing this, but he understands the first questions just fine and will either hand me the milk (or sometimes throw it on the floor) or shake his head NO and drink some more. But not only that...the other day I was talked to Mike about getting his 18 month pictures taken and whether or not he needed a hair cut first. And what does Quinn do? After touching his hair, walks over and points up to the camera and says CHEESE. I wasn't even talking to him! There's so many things he understands - he can even follow two step directions such as, "Go get your shoes and come and sit on Mommy's lap so I can put them on your feet."

Although one day I said that to him and he only followed the sit down part and sat right where he was. So it was Quinn, me, and the shoes in a perfect triangle and Quinn and I just kept looking at each other and pointing to the shoes and saying Shoes. Well, I said shoes, he pronounces shoes like "boo-ah" (That's because when he goes shhhh....his lips are actually ready to make a b sound.). Anyway, it was pretty funny - I ended up getting the shoes and then calling him over to me.
Did I mention how good he was at finding all his Easter Eggs on Easter morning?
