I can easily walk 8 miles now. I just went this morning and I feel fine. This was my last big training walk; I should have walked for 4 hours (16 miles), but I just don't have that type of time to give away. So I walked for 2 hours. The good news is; the first time I walked for 2 hours I was SO sore afterwards. And I'm not now. I'm not going to go on any more big walks (1. I don't have time and 2. The training books says to rest the weekend before the actual event). I will take small walks (like 1-2 miles) just to keep those muscles working.
I laugh to myself as I'm walking through the burbs with Emminem (sp?) playing on my I-pod. I've only got one song of his in my mix, but today it happened to shuffle through right as I'd be walking past some huge houses.
