The Longest Trip to McDonalds

With Mike gone for the weekend and Liam needing a short nap around dinner time and I needing not to listen to him cry while I try to get him to sleep for the nap he fights the hardest a decision needed to be made. I did what any desparate mom would do. I packed up the boys in the car and drove to McDonalds. Of course, McDonalds is only five minutes from our house - not enough of a drive for Liam to catch a quick nap, so I drove south on the expressway for 20 minutes then north again, finally getting to the McDonalds 45 minutes later. Liam did sleep (thank God) and woke up as soon as I pulled in the driveway (of course). Quinn had some chicken nuggets and apples. All was good.
