I never thought I'd be one of those. One of those that would wake up so early it's still dark outside. And I never thought there were so many people who were one of those.
I woke up at 4:30. Was out of the house by 4:45 with a breakfast bar, pop, water, and banana in tow all in preparation for a morning of shopping.
First stop: Toys R Us. I wasn't too impressed with their sales, but it was kind of fun to stand in a line just to get in the store (that's not sarcasm). Though, I think I spent way too much there and will probably be taking back quite a few of the toys I got.
Second stop: The Disney Store. We have a Disney Credit Card with reward points, so I cashed those in awhile ago and had $150 to spend of "free money." The Disney Store had a great sale going on and I was able to knock off all of my little neices and nephews off the list and even some grown-ups. I even got some PJs for Quinn and me.
Third stop: Carson's. I felt a little out-of-place. Everyone had coupons except me. There were some great deals on sweaters and stuff. Good thing I'm pregnant, otherwise I would have spent a lot on myself with some of the shirts that were on sale.
Fourth stop: Radio Shack. Christmas shopping for myself and Mike. Gotta love it. I got a TiVo recorder (free after rebate, but you need to subscribe to the monthly service) and a new DVD/VCR player that upconverts stuff to HD for Mike. We decided we'd get ourselves these two things and now we don't have to shop for each other. (Not that we don't like to, but really, it's just OUR money, so it's not really a gift, you know?)
Anyway. Four Stores in under 3 hours and almost all of my Christmas shopping done. Maybe I will start going every year. I'll just never go somewhere like Best Buy. They didn't open 'til 6am and when I left Toys R Us at 5:30 the line for Best Buy was HUGE. HUGE.
I was home by 7:45!
