Too Spicey. Too Scarey.

If he doesn't want to eat something, he quickly declares it to be "Too spicey!"

If he doesn't want to do something, or go somewhere, he quickly declares that activity to be "Too Scarey."

He loves to make people laugh and will remember a "joke" that had everyone laughing and tell it again and again. "Yellow eyes!" is his latest joke. Trust me, it was funny. (the first time)

He knows how to play pirates, how to annoy his brother, and how to win over a stranger.

His favorite show is Curious George, but he calls it "ooooh, ahhhh, ahhh."

He cries when he doesn't get his way.

He thanks you if he does get his way.

He loves his brother.

He calls his daddy, "Daddy-o"

He loves signing along to "rock-a-bye-baby".

He prefers to lay his head on the skin of my chest, as opposed to a sweatshirt. (I blame this on the fact that he was a summer baby and spent his first few months of life laying on my skin while I sported nursing tank tops.)

He loves books. His favorites include: Big Enough For a Bed, Find the Puppy, That's Not My Dinosaur, Peek a Who, Goodnight Gorilla, Goodnight Moon, and Night Night Sleep Tight. He can read a few of these to himself.

He loves trains.

Some of his most used phrases, besides "too spicey" and "too scarey" include: "Play with me." "Read to me." "Where are we going today?" "Where's Daddy-o?" and my personal favorite, "Who's that guy?"

He all of a sudden turned into a little boy. A little boy I love with all my heart.

This is sweet. I wonder if he'll read it when he's older, turn to you, and say, "Mom, that was too sappy." You know this better than I, they grow up so quickly, don't they?
