Summer School

Quinn's been busy learning a lot this summer. Of course, as a teacher we spend all our mornings looking at flash cards and learning sight words. Ha! Just kidding! I guess I haven't spent any time talking about the way I really feel about things like that... but anyway... that post will come.

But for now - take a look at Quinn's newest aquired skill.

Folding Washclothes
First you fold it in half.

Then, you fold it in half again.

Finally, you add it to the pile.

He has also mastered the art of putting his own clothes away, clearing his spot at the table, and handing me clothespins as I hang up our clothes on the clothesline.

Nice! Teaching chores! Love it... Liam is getting so much better at personal care. He dresses himself now first thing in the morning so we are spending time talking about how to "match." Also he busses his plate after meals.

I must have missed that "crazy green neighbors" post but my husband only recently stopped using a push mower like y'all have. What do you use the water barrel for?

Awesome!

Rhena is in charge of putting about 1/2 of her laundry away... the easy stuff, anyway. I've even got danny one the habit of clearing his plate. they're NEVER to young to work in my house! ;)

I think it's very important for kids to learn the importance of chores... good job, momma!
