Mother's Day

I was going to do a post all about how I want a do-over of Mother's Day. Instead...here's a list of things that didn't suck today.

1. Quinn picked out my two favorite books to read to him before bedtime. (The Napping House and The Cat in the Hat)
2. Liam and I swinging side by side and him saying "hi mamma!" Every time we passed each other. (We were facing opposite directions.)
3. Mike actually wrapping a present for me, instead of just sticking it in a bag.
4. Me being selfish and not going to the family party on time. Instead, we showed up almost 3 hours late - so we could all take a nap before we left.
5. The ladies in the Childcare place at Lifetime were able to get Liam to stop crying - I was able to finish an entire spinning class and when I went to pick the boys up they didn't want to leave and Liam was playing happily.
   

So, yeah, today didn't totally suck, but it could have been better.
