Okay - so here's our options.
Option 1: Visit CA over spring break next year. Ours falls the week before Easter - we'd fly out Friday night and stay until Friday night or Saturday before Easter. While in CA we would visit Disneyland for 2 or 3 days, my friend Shellie in a suburb of LA, and possibly drive up to Santa Barbara to go whale watching.
Option 2: Visit the Pacific Northwest over spring break. Specifically - stay near Dan, Leah, and Christie. What would we do, people? Your pictures are beautiful - it seems like a kid friendly enough area. How's the weather there in March?
Option 3: Drive down to Florida and camp at DisneyWorld. We would borrow my brother's pop-up or get our own. We'd leave June 2nd - which is my last day of work next year - if there are no snow days! We'd stay for about 2 weeks. My concerns - will it be too hot to camp? What if there's a snow day? I'd have to wait until April to book it to make sure there are no snow days to count.
Option 4: Visit my friend in Texas over spring break. It'll be warm there, right?
Part of me really likes Option 3, because it involves Disney World - and more time to vacation. A drive down with a 3 and 5 year old? Can't be that bad if I borrow a portable DVD player, right? We'd take it slow, too. But like I said, it'll be hot - and we just went to DisneyWorld.
I've got friends all around this country - part of me feels like I should be visiting them before they all decide to move back to Illinois.
Also, I think I really do need to have a warm vacation to look forward to during the winter months.
So - what do you think? Should I come visit you instead???

You will not find a bigger Disney World fan on the planet that me but I have got to tell you, you could not pay me to visit Disney World in June. The crowds, the heat, the crowds. There's just no way I could do it.
Because I know my vote matters soooo much I say #1. Yea for Disneyland!
Jen - do you think it'll be crowded right at the beginning of June? I'm leaning towards CA also - only because I've promised my friend we'd visit - she's lived there for 8 years!
IF you do go see Dan and Leah, in March--just be warned it will NOT be warm if you go to the ocean. Ryan and I could give you a list of things to see--or do in that area... a lot of sight seeing. The beaches are SUPER windy, and even in July it is not warm enough to wear shorts on the beach. Just FYI, but you will get some GREAT pics.
We went in June right after school was out it was hotter at home then at Disney. Do you remenber that trip. It rain everyday but the sun came out everyday as well. The rain only lasted a short time. I think you need to go west this time before your friends move back here.
Well, my vote is for option 2 but I have to say that March is not the best time to visit Oregon. The weather is usually pretty gray, rainy, and cold. I think this year we even had some snow going into the third month. BUT! There are so many things to do. Yes, the ocean would be horrifically cold but it's also the most awesome Pacific Ocean so that counts for something even if you can't go skinny-dipping in it! Also, the Oregon Zoo is awesome. OMSI is great, particularly for the boys. If you wanted to sort of tour all of Oregon, Bandon has a pretty cool petting zoo. We went several years ago and I got to actually hold a baby panther (or leopard). Not far from that is Winston Wildlife Safari that you drive through. Awesome. (Here's a link: http://www.wildlifesafari.org/). Let's see...well, the food in Portland is amazing. And you would get to hang out with Dan and Leah. And I'm hoping you'd join us for brunch and/or dinner at least once while in the state. How do your boys feel about rain? Or perhaps I should ask how they like splashing in puddles?
All that being said, all of your other options sound pretty awesome so whatever you do choose to do, I bet it's going to be amazing and everyone will have a blast, which is how vacations should be. :)
