Well, we've got Spam

So - Tuesday afternoon, while it was snowing big fluffy flakes, while people were stuck in traffic for over 2 hours, the weather man on TV said, "We're looking at an ice storm coming in Thursday afternoon and lasting until Friday afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised if many people lose power."
So - Tuesday afternoon I freaked out a little bit.
Tuesday during dinner I freaked out a lot. (may have been my very first true anxiety attack - had a hard time breathing, wanted to vomit, felt best with my face against a cold window)
Tuesday after dinner I sent Mike out to get firewood, bread, and flashlights. (into the shitty roads)
Today I went to work.
After dinner I went to the store.
I just spent over $100 - more firewood, enough Rice Milk to last 2 weeks, more skim milk for Quinn, cereal, oatmeal, and some other random food (oh yeah! And Edy's Peppermint Ice Cream - I love that stuff!)
I also went to the pet store and got food, toys, treats, and new dishes for Tucker! He's coming to meet us Saturday and if all goes well he'll be staying! (I really feel like this is the smart decision. Yes, Izzy is adorable. But really. A puppy and a toddler?)
I'm feeling a little better. Plus - Mike has been stashing Spam, salmon, tuna, rice, and other items for an emergency.
