Can We Start This Month Over?

Well, I was going to write a post Tuesday night about how Winter is already kicking my ass. Monday morning I attempted to drive to work - but apparently there's a salt shortage which meant the two towns I have to drive through to get to work just didn't use ANY SALT after a "wintery mix of ice and snow". So...first I spun out - then someone ran into me - going very slowly so we (me and the boys and the other guy) were fine. I continued on my way - only to find the road I wanted to take to work was closed - because it was basically a sheet of ice. So, I called in. I've had enough. Spinning out, being hit, and then being confronted with a closed road were enough. But apparently not, because on my way home - I was rear-ended. Oh goodness. We're all fine - everybody was moving so slow, but really? That was how I started the month.

And then there was Tuesday. Where I took Quinn to school and had grand plans to visit the mall one final time. Return some items, mail some packages, pick up some boots for me, find some birthday wrapping paper, and maybe let Liam go say "ho!ho!ho!" to Santa. So, we get there and I go to open the trunk. And It Is Frozen Shut. After scraping at it for awhile, breaking the ice scraper, I hear Liam screaming inside the car. Duh. I'm making a ton of noise. So I give up on the trunk and decide to do 3 of the 5 things planned - with an 18 month old - with NO stroller. That Was Fun.

So, like I said, I was planning on writing this entire post about how much I hate Winter and how I can't believe I feel this way already, because usually I don't feel like this until February - but then I went to work out - and that made me feel SO much better, that I didn't want to just vent.

Oh but wait. I just did. Just a few days later. Hmmm....go figure.

Yes, I say we start the month over. Not sure how to go about making that happen but you've got my vote if needed.

Also, glad to hear you're all right after all of that car ice skating you did.

This is why I moved to the West Coast! When the roads are icy everyone stays home and drinks (hot cocoa, wine, beer, whatever suits your fancy.)
