Things I Learned On Vacation

1. I still hate traffic.
2. Even after years of using mapquest, I can still read a regular old map and figure out a different route.
3. My kids do not sleep in on vacation. They were up by 6:30am every morning.
4. My family gets crabby right around 11am.
5. My kids will nap in the middle of the day while on vacation.
6. My kids take short naps (1.5 hours) while on vacation.
7. I liked having all the kids clothes packed in seperate ziplock baggies for each day. It made getting ready in the morning so easy.
8. Those empty ziplock baggies were perfect for poopy diapers.
9. Liam poops a lot while on vacation.
10. Liam didn't need as many diapers as I packed.
11. Quinn did need the one set of extra underwear/shorts that I packed.
12. It's a good idea to have Quinn wear pull-ups even for naps.
13. My kids can do okay staying up late on vacation.
14. My kids prefer their own beds and will sleep in the first morning home from vacation.
15. For some reason, it is not possible for both kids to be asleep at the same time in the car during a four hour road trip.
16. Liam likes to eat in the car when not sleeping.
17. Quinn likes to ask questions in the car when not sleeping.
18. Quinn doesn't need his bedtime and naptime routine - just a quick kiss and he'll go to sleep.
19. Liam doesn't mind sleeping in his pack 'n' play.
20. I don't sleep well at all without my pillow from home.
21. Mike sleeps just fine.
