Mad rush of cleaning
To take place today and night
Hosting a party
Mad rush of packing
Took place all this week at work
Packing the school up
Mad rush construction
Taking place all summer long
They'll finish on time?
Mad rush setting up
Put the room back together
Before the first day

It's been one of those weeks. One of those weeks where you don't stop doing anything because there's so much to do. Or one of those weeks you sit and read blogs because you can't decide what you should do. Wednesday was the kids last day at work - I can't believe it! And Thursday all of us teachers had to go and finish packing for the summer construction project. They'll be redoing the ceilings and the pipes. And since they're worried about asbestos - we had to pack everything and movers are moving it all into mobile homes in the parking lot. Now the kicker is - we probably won't be able to get into the school, into our rooms, and into our boxes until ONE WEEK before school starts. That's crazy. I usually start going in a few weeks before a few days a week to get all set for the kids. But one week. Oh boy. I guess I can't worry about it yet and will just be forced to enjoy almost the entire summer vacation.

Sounds very busy, but it did make for a cute and fun haiku!
I'm exhausted just reading about all you have to do. Good luck with the party!!
Definitely sounds like busy times for you as summer begins. Hope your party is a huge success and that you enjoy yourself. I understand ‘the mad rush’ … but hope you can slow down a bit soon. I wish for you a peace-filled day, every day!
Hugs and blessings,
I know those mad crazy weeks! Hope you have some down time and relaxation over the next few summer weeks.

suddenly, i need a nap...
have fun -- don't work too hard ;-)
Oh my goodness, I can hear the panic tone in your voice about getting the classroom ready. I used to be a teacher and I couldn't imagine only having a week to prep my room before the first day even if everything was still in it. That's CRAZY!!
I also can relate to the reading blogs because you have too much to do that you don't even know where to start. Oh how I can relate to that!
