Okay. Ready???
So, here's some samples of what's going to be in the middle frame. The frames arrived via UPS yesterday so now I really want to get these up. These layouts will be on 12x12 paper. I went ahead and had them printed so that I could get a better idea of the scale of the pictures and whatnot. I had both versions printed and Mike is right now on his way to Costco to pick them up. I am no longer allowed to shop there (after only one experience). And no, Mike is not the type of husband who would ban me from shopping, I've put that on myself. No more solo trips to Costco. At least for now. Anyway, back to this project - I think I might need better pictures of stuff around our house - like some of the gate/fence maybe. These seem to have a lot of springy stuff in there, but then again, I could throw together a new layout in the winter. They are only $3 a print - so I can change it whenever!

Update: Guess what folks...Costco closes at 6pm on Saturday - so no prints for me.
Anyway, in addition to this little picture/frame project I've got going, Mike's started a project we've been meaning to do for a few years. Cleaning up the back of the yard - the part where we'd throw fallen sticks, pile dirt we didn't need, or rocks we didn't need, or wood, or whatever. It's all been in the far back corner of the yard, but now what the playset is back there we really want to clean it up and make a little sitting garden or something. Something. So Mike started working back there today - dug out the old horse-shoe pits (oh, how sad for him), moved the old frog sandbox under the playset, pulled up all the tall weeds, and this - which I don't quite get: he moved all the wood from that corner to behind the garage so it could dry out and he could cut it up only to burn it at a later date. But why, people, did he need to move it? It's not as though that area is ready for planting or ANYTHING at this point. Doesn't it just seem like more work to move it only to have to move it again? I joked with him and said, "Oh, so tomorrow when you clean up behind the garage you'll just move this back to the corner until it's dry and ready to be cut?" Except yeah, he didn't think that was too funny and he had some Very Good Reasons for moving the wood. None of which I can recall right now.

I love your collages!
And I am well versed in husband-created tasks which seem to make more work. My husband spent a lot of time last weekend trimming branches off a tree he has now determined needs to come down completely and we are hiring someone else to do it. I'd say he spent 4-5 hours on the tree.
