Hair above my lip
Wrinkles above my weak eyes
Zits scattered around
I'm only thirty
Why do I have wrinkles now?
When will this cream work?
The hair - barely there
Should I wax it or shave it?
Or leave it alone?
And as for the zits
Watch out little red buggers
Or I will pop you
Girls - any advice?
What to do with the lip hair
The wrinkles and zits?

Ha! This is a fabulous haiku! You had me laughing as I can relate!
I do not like the peach fuzz about my lip either. My hair stylist said NOT to wax it HURTS LIKE HELL! She said it is the worst. She said since there is not much there to use Nair or something. It really isn't much so, oh well.
As for the wrinkles I use Oil of Olay products and it does a pretty good job of keeping them at bay.
Gray hairs? Forget about it! I've color my hair since high school.
Man, it is WORK to be a woman.
Happy Haiku Friday!
There is a product by Gigi (sold at Sally Beauty Supply, if you have one nearby) that is mild and perfect for facial hair. It is called Facial Hair Removal, I think. It is mild enough that I use it on my very dark haired, olive skinned 8 year old who takes a lot of steroids to control asthma, which causes hair to grow on her face. It is a good product and pretty cheap, too!
oh, hate being in my 30s and having zits? i did it when i was in my teens and thought i'd graduated... moved on past it. i can think of so many things i wouldn't mind having from when i was 18 like those brebaby, prenursing boobs.. that would be nice. but zits...
Eat chocolate!
This made me laugh. I'll be checking back for advice myself.
happy friday!
A fantastic Haiku, thank you so much for sharing!!
I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer. It doesn't hide anything, but the light diffusing pellets make me glow, which I feel distracts others from wrinkles and peach fuzz.
And those random chin hairs that jump out at you, suddenly an inch long, where you never saw them before.
So funny! I vote for Mama DB's advice myself. Everything feels better with a bit of chocolate.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh God, I hear ya. I actually get a wax every 6 weeks, and pluck in between. As for the wrinkles and the zits, I just let them be. Wrinkles are cool. Hey! If you keep telling yourself that, you believe it!!
I love your haiku! Yah, the whole zit and wrinkle and gray hair thing really isn't so much fun. I have no advice, so I'll just keep reading to see what advice others give ;)
You know the cream I extoled the virtues of several weeks ago...well it appears to have stopped working. My wrinkles are as bad as ever. I really wish I had advice.
Also, what is UP with the zits??? I thought we were old enough to be finished with those stupid things.
***I don't have gray hairs (at least I don't think so)! I'm "naturally" blond, but it's turning brown. As for that hair, I'm actually losing some. Any ideas?
***I'm going to have to check out Gigi for my 'peach fuzz'.
***Jennifer - as for those wrinkles. I went out and got some wrinkle cream - not he generic, because Target does not do generic wrinkle cream, and I swear my wrinkles are getting WORSE. WTF???
I also tried to link to your wrinkle post, but gave up trying to find that post. What month was that??
***Waxing doesn't hurt that much, I have my brows done every 6-8 weeks. Just wondering if it's the best option for my little bit of peach fuzz?
***I've followed the chocolate advice already today and plan to continue! That may have to become part of my bedtime beauty ritual.
***Thanks for all the product advice and keep it coming!
Haha! Great haiku. When your eyes get weak enough you won't be able to see that peach fuzz anymore ;)
If I only knew what to do with the zits. ugh. I thought we were supposed to be done dealing with those after puberty was over. Happy Friday!
Is your hair just thinning a little - probably temporary - happens after having a baby and if you are nursing less, etc. It's just the change in hormones, so it will probably stop and just get back to normal after some time. Otherwise maybe it's stress or something??? Once you find the possible cause - then you'll know what to do. As far as wrinkles and zits - I only wish I had the answer. I think as far as wrinkles every dermatologist will tell you sunscreen is the way to go, but with kids - we're outside all the time. Even w/sunscreen you're bound to get some sun and some wrinkles. Also - do you take vitamin D? If you don't get any sun, they say you should take a vitamin D supplement.
Mccathy, how did I miss you? Oh, hides hide in shame. Have you considered electrolysis or laser? They work. Don't pluck...it's a bad cycle.
Zits? My skin totally changed recently. If you get some good advice, please let me know. How you can be VERY dry & v oily back and forth is beyond me.
Ok, I don't know if you can do it nursing, but blondes should just lighten upper lip hair.
My brow waxer told me that I shouldn't do my lip...that it'll come back worse and be a vicious cycle. And it's hard on the skin there, too. And prone to ZITS after you wax there.
So I would vote for Jolen (or the generic) creme bleach for the stache. I'm gonna do it as soon as I find out it's ok while nursing. (Prolly is, right? I mean, we can dye the hair on our heads, so??)
