Awards

First of all I'd like to thank Bradley and Vdog for presenting me with a few awards. And now I'm finally getting around to passing out the love.

I'd like to give the Make Me Smile Award to this group blog that I check out every once in awhile. It's a group of artists that challenge themselves to produce illustrations and share them with each other online. I love seeing what they create and reading about their process. I'm amazed at their talents and going there truly does make me smile. Right now they're working on Pipi Longstocking illustrations. I can't wait to see them - I'm a total lurker over there.

I'd also like to pass on the Make Me Smile Award to Darren and Christie. I absolutely loved reading this blog while they were expecting their first child - oh the excitement! And now it's even better because little Henry has arrived and there's pictures! It truly makes me smile to read all about their life with their first little one and the pictures are just amazing. Both Darren and Christie manage to write funny and/or interesting posts even with the sleep deprivation they are suffering. Oh - and did I mention the pictures???

And then just this week I was honored with the Egel Nest award. Somehow - this award has nearly doubled my stat count - and for that I am truly grateful. I like knowing people are reading my stuff. And admiring my kids. I would like to pass this award on to Diana. She started her blog in January of this year and I find myself enjoying all of her posts - Wordless Wednesday and Fun Friday over there are my favorites. She also posts some helpful entries about parenting and marriage. Just recently she posted a list of her life goals - which was interesting to read - since she is in such a different place in her life than I am.
