I was all set to post about how we've reach a nice turning point with our little guy. Liam has, up until recently, spent a lot less time crying and so much more time laughing. What a welcome change that has been. He was napping better - for more than 40 minutes (but yet, still waking up at night). I was feeling as though I could do anything - with a good nap anything is possible. Long live naps! But then we had to take him for his shots. Damn shots. Tuesday wasn't so bad. But then there was yesterday. It was like I had my little fuss bug back - and not that I don't miss the newborn Liam, it's just that once I saw what Baby Liam was like - smiles, giggles, coos, and naps - I wasn't quite ready to go back to the fuss bug. That and he's much heavier these days - so the walking and shhhhshhhhing is a lot harder. Last night was pretty bad, but not just because of Liam. He woke up about four times, but Quinn woke up twice, and Maggie, yes the dog, even woke up once and was barking at nothing - which of course meant I made Mike get up and out of bed to go check it out - you never know. I would just like one night of sleep where everyone sleeps. That would be nice.
I'm truly hoping that this shift backwards is temporary, very temporary. Like it would be nice if today he's back to the Baby Liam who smiles, giggles, and coos. That would be fun. In the mean time, enjoy this video of his latest trick.
After I turned the camera off he went back over onto his tummy. Go Liam Go!
