I've made two additions to my Elimination Diet. Grapes and sunflower seeds! WooHoo.
We noticed a nice improvement in Liam and his gassiness soon after I started the diet, so now it's time to start adding new foods. I really feel that eliminating everything at once and then adding stuff is the easiest way to see what is causing the problems. If I went the other way, I'm sure the last thing I would take out of my diet would be what was causing the problems and that would take weeks to discover! And we'd have a fussy/gas bug on our hands during the whole process.
And - I've cheated. Once. We had a party after Liam's baptism and I was able to resist all day. But then, I packed up the leftovers - beef sandwhiches and pasta. Since we're thinking Liam's having a hard time with protein, I choose to cheat with the pasta - and there were no bad reactions. That doesn't mean I'm going to start eating pasta and tomato sauce every day, it just means that when I want to cheat I know something he can handle (in small doses, anyway).
