We'll Try Anything

In an effort to help Liam with his gas and fussiness we've taken him to a chiropractor - the results - not very promising.
And then we had another bad night (which followed by a bad day) - with him waking up six times with bad gas - lots of burps and farts and crying in pain before each passing of the gas.
So, I've been reading more about elimination diets and am thinking of trying to take out more food.
The following is a quick email conversation Mike and I had this morning.

Subject: diet?

Eat: turkey, cranberries, potatoes, grapes, spinach, organic grape juice, olive oil, rice.
Avoid: wheat, soy, diary, tree nuts, peanuts, corn, eggs, strawberries, chocolate.
Maybe eat: citrus and tomatoes

From Mike:

Are you thinking about trying this?

No other vegetable but spinach and maybe tomatoes? That seems strange.

This would test my skills at inventive cooking. It could be fun. :-)

Love Ya,

me

Thank God I married someone who actually enjoys cooking, because I sure don't.

Kristen's elim diet was mad crazy. I didn't eliminate anywhere NEAR the amount of stuff she did.

I continue(d) to eat corn, because even though I had read that it was a major allergen, neither doctor had mentioned cutting it out. Corn has been a major lifesaver -- you can have taco night, use it as a veggie, etc.

I DID cut out citrus and tomatoes, but only for three months (heh).

Have you cut out caffeine? The Little Man has had a bad reaction toward that.

Luckily for me, he hasn't reacted to any of the "gassy" vegetables, but sounds like you'll need to hold off on those (onions, broccoli, etc.).

You have my support, girl! (I'll get to your email soon, hopefully, Grandma is in town from the East Coast, whoopee!)>

A husband who cooks is a keeper for sure? If he does nothing else, he's still a keeper. Mine makes sandwhiches. For dinner. And that's it :)
