He's Growing Up

I just did it. I registered Quinn for preschool for this school year. I really wanted him to go here for a Montessori preschool. I ended up signing him up for the park district preschool - you have to be 3 by Dec. 1st to enroll in this class, so he'll be one of the younger ones, which is what I prefer for preschool, especially since he copies behavior. I'd rather him copy older kids than younger ones. The things about the Montessori that I liked is 1. it's montessori, so I imagine less pressure on him and 2. they come out to the car and get the kid out! But, it was $120 more per month. I kept saying, "It's only $100 more a month." And then my mom said, "So, that's 100$ more for 9 months...so almost $1000?" Yeah. Good point. The park district is certified by NAEYC, so that's always a good sign. And I figure if I really think it's too much pressure for him I could always take him out and try again next year. As it is he'll have 3 years of preschool before kindergarten. This seems like a good program. We've got open house on the 22nd and then school starts on the 28th! And they even have a Curriculum Night! Of course, I'll keep you posted.
