From the Archives: Bookends.

And see? I always liked to vent a little. Also some bad parenting on my part. Opps.
***************************************************************

I wasn't going to write about this here, but after today, I figured it's the perfect example of a perfectly bookended week.
Long stories short:
Monday - A huge mistake on my part left Quinn by the stroller while I started the car. End situation - Quinn was pushing the stroller, it tipped over, and Liam and his car seat fell out. Yes, that's right. Liam is doing the cry that he usually reserves for shots at the doctor. The one where he turns red and holds his breath. Long story short - I called the doctor, watched Liam for signs of a concussion, and gave him Tylenol because, as the doctor explained, imagine how you would feel after being rear-ended. He's going to be sore.
Friday - I pack up Quinn and Liam and head to a scrapbooking event. I stop at a stop light. It turns green, I slowly start to go, waiting for the car in front of me to move, and BAM. I get rear-ended. Hard. First thing I do is look at Quinn and Liam. Liam, who never sleeps, is still asleep, and Quinn says, "What are you doing, mommy?" So apparently, they were fine. Pulled over, the lady pulled over as well, and I collected her information. Over 10 hours later both the boys are showing no signs of a concussion, or anything. And guess what, folks. I am sore, just like the nurse said I would be if I was rear-ended.
So there's my bookended week. Time for another dose of Tylenol for me.
