Updates

Diapers - we're still using Luvs. I think the reaction we saw was actually due to him drinking something he was allergic to and then the pee and poop bothered him. Maybe? I don't know, but the Luvs are working and I am glad.

Allergies - Still keeping dairy, eggs, and nuts out of my diet. That seems to be working. We tried the very expensive formula and that resulted in a lot of spit up which makes me think there's more than allergies going on.

Reflux - We had his one month check up today. I was so excited to go an entire week without seeing a doctor and waited until today to talk about his issues after eating. The result - he will now start taking Zantac. We'll see how that works...

Kidneys - We have to schedule another ultrasound to check up on the blockage.


New Addition to Issues - The doctor heard a heart murmur and we need to have an ultrasound done on his heart to check that out.


Growing - He now weighs 11lbs 4oz and is almost 2 feet! (23 inches long) He's in the 75th percentile for his weight and 95th for his length.


How I'm Doing - There are times when I'm counting down the days until he older - sleeping through the night, smiling, on a schedule, etc. And then there are times when I don't want him to grow another inch or ounce and I just want to hold this little newborn close to me. I'm trying hard to remind myself to treasure ever moment, like everyone advices. It's hard to treasure the walking and bouncing with a fussy baby or the nights that have me up every 90 minutes,

but oh so easy to treasure moments like this...
