Yesterday

Yesterday was "my day off." The babysitter suggested that I bring Quinn at least once a week just to keep him used to being there all day. Fine with me I thought. Plus, starting next week it'll be twice a week because I'm taking two classes this summer - both that start before 3pm.
So on my day off I cleaned out our spare bedroom. Which has become a storage room these past 18 months. We put Quinn's toys in there. We put frames in there. We put garage sale stuff in there. Garbage. Clothes. Suitcases. Duffel bags. Fanny pack. Anything we didn't know where to put it - we put it in that room. On the way home from dropping Quinn off I stopped at Target and got 6 storage bins for his room and two rubbermaid things for the attic.
So I cleaned it out. Packed up toys to go in the attic. Packed up toys that he can still play with, but aren't out all the time (we rotate toys in and out of the living room so he doesn't get sick of any of his toys and so we don't go crazy and feel like we're being taken over by an 18 month old). The toys that he still plays with are now neatly placed in these navy blue storage bins that I can write on with chalk! How fun is that?
I also found a TON of stuffed animals in the storage/extra room and packed them up to put in the attic, because he already has a big basket full in the living room. But, I couldn't pack them all up and kept out a dog, Mike's old teddy bear, and a Winnie the Pooh bear dressed for safari. Those are now on the end table in Quinn's room where we were keeping burp cloths. This morning Quinn woke up and notice the stuffed animals for the first time. More to come on that story later.
