Operation House Plant

So I've always had a bad habit of not taking care of my plants until they scream and yell at me that they need water. A few months ago I put a plant in Quinn's room (because my grandma gave me two of hers and I needed more room and plants are supposed to be good for us). A few weeks after that we put tin foil on Quinn's window. And since I don't water the plants until I notice them looking bad this poor plant went without sun and water for a long time. I can't even tell you how long. I would only notice it while rocking Quinn before bedtime and that's not a good time to jump up and get water. So I finally remembered to take it out of his room (on my day off) and it's now in the HPICU. (house plant intensive care unit)
It's in a room with lots of sunlight. It gets a little bit of water every morning and evening. And soon I will pick the dead parts out.
This plant is not going to die - I thought this was it but it's already started to perk up a bit and reach for that sunlight. Plus, it grew this strange thing on it that I swear it was going to attack me with if I didn't start taking care of it. Take a look.

Glad I'm not alone in my black thumbness. :-) We kill all of our houseplants. Ours, however, never grew torturous weapons as revenge. Too funny!
