Snow!

It was snowing this morning when I woke up. It reminded me of the day Quinn was born. I clearly remember, or not so clearly, while in the middle of pushing (for almost 4 hours) I looked out the window of the hospital room and was so excited to see snow. I also remember listening to the nurses complain about how bad traffic was and all that good stuff that comes along with snow, but I didn't care. It made me so happy to see the snow on the tree tops and surrounding buildings. And now, today, it was snowing. It left a nice blanket on our yard and the tree/bush we planted for Quinn on Father's Day. I love it. Right after this I'm going to dig out all my Christmas CDs and bring them upstairs. I have so many...and always want to buy more...hey, maybe that's my fetish?? I love Christmas and feel it's perfectly fine to start getting ready as soon as that first snow falls. As much as I do love Christmas, I love Thanksgiving even more. It's not about the gifts -- it's about the people and the FOOD. Yummy yummy food. And almost every Thanksgiving I get to see my aunt and uncle from Kentucky, which makes me happy. This year, at my parent's house, we'll also be joined by Chris, a friend of my parent's from Uganda who fled to America for Political Asylum, and a girl I haven't yet met from Ecuador who is in America on a student visa.
Remember I said I was going to try and get a picture of Quinn's fat lip. Well, here it is! It's kind of hard to see. But I swear it's there. Plus, doesn't he look just like a little boy there? So cute.
