I had to turn the TV off today. It's getting to be way too much for me. In addition to fighting the urge to quit work any day now to stay home with Quinn (even though we've got a pretty good babysitter) I do not think I can handle seeing or hearing another story from Katrina. Last night, this morning, lunchtime, all talking about it. And showing the pictures...all those people with babies under a year...I could not imagine. So...the TV went off until Tele-tubbies at 11 and then I watched some show about dogs on WTTWD. And now it's off again. I'm afraid if I turn it back on they'll be another update and I just don't want to hear.
So I went to Kinkos this morning in hopes of coming home with some enlarged prints of pictures from Kenya to put up at school (for the fundraising project we're doing for a preschool there). They won't be ready until Friday morning, so there goes my personal deadline of having the display case finished BEFORE Labor Day; looks like it'll be done soon after, though. The good news: getting a 11x17 inch print is much cheaper then one slightly bigger, so I was able to pick about 8 pictures to print as opposed to 2 or 3.
